Procedure Overview
A Breast Lift (Mastopexy) rejuvenates the female profile by removing stretched skin, tightening the breast tissue, and elevating the nipple-areola complex to a higher, more youthful position. This procedure is ideal for treating breast ptosis (sagging) caused by aging, breastfeeding, or genetics.
Key Aspects & Outcomes:
- Elevates breasts to correct sagging and restore projection.
- Reshapes and reduces enlarged areolas for a balanced look.
- Can be combined with implants to add volume while lifting.

A detailed technical explanation of the procedure stages during your clinical appointment.
Surgical Incision
Incisions are placed around the areola, vertically down to the crease, and sometimes horizontally in the breast fold (lollipop or anchor).
Nipple Repositioning
The internal breast tissue is lifted and sutured, and the nipple and areola are moved higher up on the chest wall.
Suturing & Recovery
Dissolvable sutures close the incisions, and a medical bra is placed to support the breasts during the healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Get professional medical answers to common patient concerns regarding Breast Lift.
No. A breast lift (mastopexy) removes excess skin and tightens breast tissue to lift sagging breasts. It does not add volume. If you want larger breasts, you should combine the lift with implants.
Depending on the degree of sag, scars can be around the areola (donut), extending down (lollipop), or in the crease (anchor). Scars will be pink initially but fade to thin, faint lines over 12 months.
You must avoid underwire bras for at least 6 to 8 weeks. The metal wire can press against the lower incision lines, causing irritation and affecting scar healing. You will wear a supportive sports bra instead.
In most cases, the nipple and areola remain attached to their underlying tissue and blood supply, preserving breastfeeding function. However, we cannot guarantee it.
You must sleep exclusively on your back for the first 4 weeks. After that, you can transition to your side, but you should avoid sleeping directly on your stomach for 8 to 10 weeks.
